“I promise you I’m gonna take you and your boys down, Geech. Just give me some time. By the time I’m done with you all it’ll be as though The Dark Angels never even existed.” And with that, Deputy Richmond turned and walked out of the garage. He climbed into the driver’s side of the squad car while Reno sat in the passenger seat and Lily sat handcuffed in the back, crying her eyes out and staring out of the window at Geech while silently begging for his help.
After the car sped off, Geech put in a call to Chase Raven, the leader of The Dark Angels, and requested an emergency gang meeting. Then he called Sheriff Walton, one of the good guys of Amber who always looked out for him and his boys, and briefed him on what was going on. By the time he was done, they had come up with a brilliant plan to help him get his girl back.

Later that evening, under the dark cover of night, Geech sat discreetly outside of the jail house with Bear and Jake Hunt, two other members of The Dark Angels who always had his back. He was just waiting receive word from Chase, who was on the other side of town with Spike, Ray, Parker and Lucas, ready to start a faux fight so that all of the authorities of Amber would rush over that way and leave the jailhouse patrol duty in the hands of Sheriff Walton. And that’s when the real plan of action would begin.
Geech’s cell phone vibrated, and it was a text message from Chase, letting him know that the so-called brawl had begun. Geech forwarded the text to Sheriff Walton, who then alerted all cars to head over to fight, where several shootings and stabbings were being reported. Geech and his boys watched as all of the authorities hopped inside of their squad cars and sped off, with Deputy Richmond being at the head of the group. Once the coast was clear, Sheriff Walton came to the front door and signaled for Geech and his guys to come inside. Since the town of Amber was so small, there wasn’t usually much crime being committed, and the jailhouse’s security system was minimal at best. There were no cameras and it housed only two cells. When Geech walked in, Sheriff Walton had already let Lily out of her cell, and she came running into Geech’s arms and cried into his shoulder inconsolably.
“It’s okay, baby, I’m here now. It’s okay,” he said soothingly, rubbing her back and kissing her face softly.
“Okay, you all had better get out of here and get the rest of your plan in motion before the authorities get over to Chase and the gang and see them sitting up drinking beers and playing billards!” Sheriff Walton said.
“I can’t thank you enough,” Geech told him. “I owe you. Huge this time.”
“Get outta here,” the sheriff waved. “You know I love you boys.”
Geech and Lily hurried out of the jailhouse with his boys right behind them. They climbed inside of Bear’s truck and headed over to The Dark Angels’ hideout. They pulled discreetly into the back, and Geech and Lily got out and went inside into one of the quiet bedrooms upstairs.
“Baby, thank you so much for saving me yet again!” Lily said to him. “You have truly been my guardian angel!”
“I couldn’t let Reno get you again. There was no way,” Geech said to her. “But they’re going to be looking for you, so you need to get out of here fast.”
“But how? They’ve got possession of the car, I don’t have hardly any money left because Reno took most of it at the jailhouse, and—”
“I’ve got you covered,” Geech said, interrupting her. “There’s a car in the garage that’s all yours. It’s in Chase’s name so it can’t be traced back to me or you. Inside is a load of cash and directions to another chapter of The Dark Angels who live four towns over. When you get to their location, tell them who you are and that I sent you. They’ll take care of you. And send for your sister too, and they’ll take care of her as well.”
Lily leaned into Geech’s chest and sobbed, too overcome with happiness and emotion to thank him or say anything for that matter.
