Frankenstein

I lit a candle.
Then I set to work.
Many hours passed. The candle burned low. It was midnight. The time, they say, when strange things happen. And so they did. From the world of darkness, I now brought forth life! How I did it I shall not tell. I shall NEVER tell! It is enough to say that the creature moved. Its eyelids opened. And the Thing stared at me.

About the Author
FRANKENSTEIN
My name is Victor Frankenstein. I am the one who made the Monster. I am to blame for everything. For all those he has killed. For those who have gone to bed in fear. For his being alive still to this very day.
Yes, I am to blame for what has become of the Monster, too. For all his sadness. And for his hatred of me.
I am sick now and about to die.
